    We are seeking a Criminal Defense Attorney, licensed in the State of Georgia, with at least 2 years of experience, including motion practice experience, who is passionate about helping people. We are not your typical small law firm. Our forward-thinking law firm is poised for aggressive growth, and we’re looking for an attorney who can hit the ground running to give clients outstanding representation. Ideal candidates have 2 or more years of experience in criminal law or have strong litigation experience and can demonstrate the ability to learn quickly. We are looking for a team player willing to take ownership of a client’s case, including direct contact with clients and opposing counsel, drafting pleadings, conducting investigations, arguing motions, pretrial hearings, and trials. You will need to have strong skills in the following areas: research, writing, courtroom presentation, and common technology. Skills and experience are appreciated and valued, and certainly considered, but your personality, character, intelligence, and integrity are also extremely important considerations. Salary is commensurate with skill and experience and is negotiable. We offer paid time off, pay for continuing legal education, bar dues, and E&O insurance. Responsibilities: • Assist clients in determining a proper solution to legal conflicts and determine the best course of action • Resolve cases efficiently by using communicating effectively with and working alongside senior attorneys and paralegals • Attend court hearings or other legal proceedings, perform legal research, and work with senior associate attorneys to provide legal advice • Prepare correspondence and legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings • Organize and maintain files to ensure accuracy for other attorneys, paralegals, and staff Qualifications: • Effective communication skills and problem-solving skills are necessary to work with all levels of staff and clients • Completion of a Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an accredited law school • Candidates must have passed the bar exam • Ability to work with senior attorneys to best serve client needs and grow our client base Compensation: $70,000 - $90,000 yearly
