We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Criminal Defense Attorney to join our team and provide exceptional legal services to our diverse client base. The ideal candidate is a former prosecutor with substantial jury trial experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates sound judgment, and is committed to long-term growth within our firm. You will work closely with senior partners, staff, and clients to develop case strategies, advocate in court, and ensure the highest standard of representation. Responsibilities: • Provide strategic legal counsel to clients by assessing their needs and identifying optimal courses of action • Develop and execute case strategies, including identifying conflicts and resolution options • Prepare and review legal documents, including motions, pleadings, briefs, and correspondence • Argue motions and represent clients in court proceedings • Oversee and collaborate with paralegals, law clerks, and administrative staff • Manage administrative tasks related to billing, scheduling, and client communications • Maintain high standards of professionalism, ethics, and client service Qualifications: • Has a proven track record of success in criminal jury trials (50+ trials strongly preferred) • Brings a prosecutor’s mindset and courtroom confidence to defense work • Demonstrates ownership, initiative, and a commitment to long-term contribution • Communicates clearly and persuasively with clients, colleagues, and the court • Thrives in a collaborative environment but can operate independently when needed • Is passionate about justice, client advocacy, and continuous professional growth • Active member of the Florida state bar • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school • Minimum of 3 years handling criminal cases • Significant jury trial experience (50+ trials preferred) • Proficient in Westlaw, Lexis, and other legal research tools, as well as Microsoft Office and legal case management software • Able to manage a high-volume caseload with minimal supervision • Experience overseeing or mentoring support staff is a plus • Prior work on federal criminal cases is a strong plus Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience. Details will be discussed during the interview process. Compensation: $105,000 - $115,000
