Responsibilities: • Represent clients in criminal defense cases, ensuring their rights are protected and their voices are heard. • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to build strong, evidence-based defense strategies. • Collaborate with clients to understand their unique situations and provide personalized legal advice. • Prepare and file legal documents, motions, and briefs with precision and attention to detail. • Negotiate with prosecutors to seek favorable plea deals or dismissals when appropriate. • Advocate for clients in court, presenting compelling arguments and cross-examining witnesses effectively. • Stay updated on changes in criminal law and legal precedents to maintain a competitive edge in defense strategies. Qualifications: • JD degree and active MN law license in good standing. • 1+ year of criminal defense or related experience. • Strong research, writing, and negotiation skills. • Ability to be an exceptional colleague/team player. • A client-first mindset with high emotional intelligence. Compensation: $80,000 - $120,000 yearly
