You will step into a dynamic role managing a diverse caseload of state and federal matters, ranging from DUIs and misdemeanors to complex, high-stakes felonies. At My Rights Law, you won’t be stuck in a library doing research for years—you will be in the courtroom, at the negotiating table, and on the front lines of justice. Your day-to-day will include: • Strategic Litigation: Managing cases from initial intake through trial or resolution. • Courtroom Advocacy: Conducting preliminary hearings, arguing evidentiary motions, and leading jury trials. • Client Empowerment: Navigating clients through the most stressful moments of their lives with empathy, clarity, and authoritative guidance. • Masterful Drafting: Crafting persuasive motions and legal briefs that challenge the prosecution’s narrative. Responsibilities: • Manage administrative assistants, paralegals, and law clerks • Conduct research and draft pleadings, briefs, and motions • Provide legal counsel to clients by analyzing their needs and determining a proper course of action • Identify client conflicts and determine case strategies with options for resolution • Take responsibility for administrative staff relating to client invoicing/billing records, setting up meetings with clients and completing tasks Qualifications: • Must be able to handle heavy caseload with little supervision • Well-versed in legal research software (Westlaw/Lexis) • Successful completion of accredited law school with Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree with 2 years of related experience • Must be a member of your local bar association - active member preferred • Prior experience working in a law firm for a minimum of 1-2 years required • Proficiency with legal case management software (e.g., Practice Panther, Clio, Filevine, or Smokeball) and e-filing systems for state and federal courts. • Exceptional emotional intelligence and a high level of discretion when handling sensitive case details and interacting with clients facing high-stress situations. Compensation: $140,000 - $180,000 yearly
