You will step into a dynamic role managing a diverse caseload of state and federal matters, ranging from DUIs and misdemeanors to complex, high-stakes felonies. Responsibilities: • Complete legal research and prepare motions, pleadings, and briefs • Draft correspondence, legal pleadings, motions, and briefs • Argue motions in court on behalf of clients during legal proceedings • Oversee paralegals, law clerks, and administrative staff • Take responsibility for administrative staff relating to client invoicing/billing records, setting up meetings with clients and completing tasks • Determine case strategies and solutions to serve clients’ needs after analysis • Provide legal counsel to clients by analyzing their needs and determining a proper course of action Qualifications: • Ability to use Microsoft Office is required • Strong knowledge of legal research programs such as Westlaw and Lexis products is required • Decision-making, public speaking, problem-solving, interpersonal skills, and communication skills are a must • Over 1 year of experience representing clients in a law firm • Candidates must currently be a member of their local bar association - active member preferred • Able to work independently while handling multiple files Compensation: $140,000 - $180,000 yearly
