About the Role We are seeking a Criminal Defense Paralegal to join our Rolling Meadows office. This is an on-site administrative role, not research-intensive, ideal for someone who thrives on organization, follow-through, and efficient communication. You’ll play a vital role in managing client files, preparing discovery, and supporting attorneys in delivering exceptional service. Responsibilities: • Manage and organize client files from intake to resolution. • Draft mitigation letters and assist with discovery organization. • Coordinate with clients, courts, prosecutors, and law enforcement agencies. • Track and maintain case calendars and deadlines. • Ensure accurate document filing, correspondence, and case progress tracking. • Support attorneys in meeting KPI targets. • Download, organize, and review physical discovery, including video evidence. Qualifications: • 1 year of Paralegal Experience. • Prior experience in criminal defense or litigation is a plus. • Knowledge of Illinois criminal court procedures and e-filing systems preferred. • Excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and case management software. Compensation: $40,000 - $50,000 yearly
