Crimping Department Technician

Minneapolis, MN | Contract to Hire | $22 - $24/hour

Summary:

The Crimping Department Technician will operate, maintain, and support production using our Schaefer Megomat 600 crimping machine. You’ll collaborate with different department managers to ensure top-quality output and reliable machine performance.

Responsibilities:

• Operate, service, and maintain the Megomat 600 crimping station.
• Prepare the machine for production, inspect work orders, and ensure timely processing to meet customer deadlines.
• Manage tools, applicators, and related equipment for the crimping department.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues.
• Adjust mechanical parts using hand and power tools.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and safety checks.

Qualifications:

• Extensive mechanical systems knowledge and hands-on technical experience.
• Prior work experience as an industrial maintenance technician or similar role.
• Strong with mechanical and electrical systems.
• Familiarity with parametric and industrial control systems.
• Working knowledge of OSHA safety standards and regulations.
• Basic computer proficiency and recordkeeping skills.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and time management abilities.
