A leading social service organization is seeking a Crisis Behavioral Health Clinician to join its Children’s Mobile Crisis Team on Staten Island. This role provides critical, community-based crisis intervention and de-escalation services for children and young adults experiencing serious emotional disturbances. The clinician will deliver compassionate, evidence-based care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of medical, psychiatric, and psychological professionals to ensure timely and effective support.
Responsibilities:
- Provide rapid, on-site crisis assessment, risk evaluation, and de-escalation for children and young adults referred to the Mobile Crisis Team.
- Develop and implement individualized short-term service and safety plans in collaboration with clients, families, and other care providers.
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions to stabilize clients and promote engagement in ongoing behavioral health services.
- Maintain accurate and timely case documentation in the agency’s electronic health record system in compliance with program standards.
- Collaborate closely with team members, including Clinical Directors and Crisis Family Advocates, to ensure coordinated and culturally competent care.
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings, audits, and supervision to support continuous quality improvement and professional growth.
Qualifications:
- NYS Licensed Clinician (LMSW, LMHC, LCAT, or LCSW).
- Valid NYS Driver’s License and access to a personal vehicle (mileage reimbursement provided).
- Evening and rotating holiday coverage required; clinical supervision and licensure hours available.
