    The Crisis Co-Responder Team Lead oversees the day-to-day operations of the Crisis Co-Responder program in partnership with law enforcement. This role ensures that clinical responders are effectively deployed in coordination with officers to manage behavioral health crises in the field, with a focus on de-escalation, diversion from emergency departments and jail, and connection to community services.

    As a Crisis Co-Responder Team Lead, you will be responsible for supervising program staff in both the Cherokee and Clay counties, coordinating with first responder agencies, ensuring compliance with funding requirements, and managing all performance and outcome reporting. This position plays a key role in building relationships with local partners, improving response workflows, and tracking results that demonstrate impact.

    Position Highlights:

    • Supervise and support the Co-Responder team, including scheduling, performance oversight, onboarding and training.
    • Coordinate with law enforcement, dispatch, and community partners to ensure effective crisis response and collaboration.
    • Monitor program outcomes, documentation quality, and compliance to support reporting, quality assurance, and service continuity.
    • Represent the program at stakeholder meetings and contribute to ongoing evaluation and improvement efforts.

    Location: Hayesville, NC

    Education:

    • Master's degree in a behavioral health field (e.g., Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy), required.

    Licensure:

    • Minimum of Associate-Licensed in North Carolina (e.g., LCSW-A, LCMHC-A, LMFTA, or equivalent), required.

    Experience:

    • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in behavioral health, with supervisory or program management experience, strongly preferred.
    • Experience working in crisis response, community-based services, or with law enforcement partnerships, a plus.
