We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part-Time Crisis Interventionist to provide immediate support and intervention services to an individual experiencing emotional crises. As a Crisis Interventionist, you will respond to crisis calls, assess the situation, and offer appropriate interventions to stabilize the individual. This position requires exceptional communication skills, empathy, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in crisis management, counseling, or social work. Key Responsibilities:
Respond promptly to crisis calls and assess the needs of individuals in distress.
Provide crisis intervention and emotional support to clients experiencing acute
emotional or psychological crises.
Conduct risk assessments to determine the level of intervention required.
Collaborate with emergency services, mental health professionals, and other
community resources as needed.
Document all interactions and interventions in accordance with organizational
protocols.
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all interactions with
clients.
Participate in regular training and professional development activities to enhance
crisis intervention skills.
Qualifications:
CPI certified desired (training available).
Proven experience in crisis intervention, preferably in a healthcare or social
services setting.
Strong understanding of mental health disorders, trauma-informed care, and
crisis management techniques.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and make quick, informed decisions.
Compassionate and empathetic approach to helping individuals in distress.
Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
Certification in crisis intervention or willingness to obtain certification upon hire.
Schedule and Compensation:
Part-time position, weekend with flexible hours. Hourly compensation commensurate with experience and qualifications.
