    Crisis Services Program Director

    The Company:

    For over 60 years, our client has provided comprehensive behavioral health and family counseling services in Bay, Calhoun, Gulf, Holmes, Jackson, and Washington counties in the Florida Panhandle. They offer objective, professional help with personal problems ranging from family life adjustment difficulties to stress reactions, substance abuse, and mental illness.

    The Position:

    The Crisis Services Program Director ensures that the program operates in accordance with: (a) policies and procedures of the Client, (b) contract provisions, (c) legal rules and regulations, (d) licensure and accreditation requirements, and (e) ethical and professional standards.

    Requirements:

    This position requires a minimum of a master’s degree and licensure in Florida as a Marriage & Family Therapist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Mental Health Counselor, or as a psychologist. Additional minimum requirements include: seven years of post-degree mental health services experience with at least three years of supervisory experience. Experience in crisis intervention services and/or within a psychiatric inpatient unit is required.

    Responsibilities:

    • Plan and coordinate operations for a psychiatric inpatient program to include 24/7 crisis/emergency services and inpatient treatment services. This includes the management and coordination of emergency and crisis intervention services, inpatient admission and treatment services, and the mobile response team.
    • Organize staff to subdivide the work of the program and assign responsibility and delegate authority to accomplish this work effectively. Provide after-hour staff consultation as needed.
    • Provide direct care of patients if needed and as assigned.
    • Supervise and develop program staff, including interviewing, hiring, coaching, disciplinary action, and terminations as necessary.
    • Construct program budgets and achieve fiscal objectives. Coordinate with funding entities including commercial insurance, managed care contracts, and subcontracted revenue sources.
