The Pastry Assistant: reports to the Pastry Chef and Executive Baker

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $17 - $18.00 per hour Typical shift: standard 8 hour day with start times varying between 4:00am-8:00am -or- (4) 10 hours days is an available alternative if preferred Goal is 2 consecutive days off, which days specifically can be negotiated

Crispelli’s Bakery is hiring a Pastry Assistant for our growing brand. We are looking for a Pastry Assistant who will work alongside 4 to 5 other team members in the department to produce cookies, cakes, quiche, croissants as well as other pastries and desserts for our 5 retail locations and many wholesale customers. We are seeking a self-motivated individual that has a strong skill set, attention to detail, and a focus for high quality.

Strong pastry production background.

Duties:

Accurately scaling recipes

Mixing, scooping and baking cookies, muffins, etc.

Making mousse, fillings, frosting, etc.

Assembling tarts, quiche, cakes, and other assorted pastries and desserts

Shaping croissants and Danishes

Communicating needs with co-workers and managers
