Optigy is seeking an experienced Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) for a Critical Care / ICU locum assignment in Cumming, GA. This position involves managing critically ill patients in a high-acuity, multi-specialty intensive care environment. The provider will work collaboratively with attending physicians and ICU staff to deliver comprehensive, evidence-based care.

• Manage the care of critically ill patients in a medical-surgical ICU

• Perform comprehensive assessments and implement care plans in collaboration with attending physicians

• Monitor patient progress, order diagnostic tests, and interpret results

• Document all care in Cerner EMR and communicate effectively with the clinical team

• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and ensure continuity of care

• Perform invasive procedures, including:

  • Central line insertions (CVLs, vascaths, introducers)

  • Arterial line placements

• Maintain accuracy and efficiency under high-acuity conditions

• Active Georgia Nurse Practitioner license

• Board Certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP)

• Minimum of 1–2 years of ICU experience as a Nurse Practitioner

• Demonstrated proficiency in ICU procedures — case logs required for credentialing

• Strong clinical judgment, teamwork, and communication skills

• Schedule: Full-time, night shifts (3x12s per week)

• Shift Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (includes sign-out)

• Start Date: November 1, 2025

• End Date: February 28, 2026

• On-call: None

• Overtime: After 24 hours daily or 40 hours weekly
