Job Description
The Data Specialist is critical to the success of this Marketing/Database Management firm. You will work directly with data, processing it to provide daily support to the Account Management Team that works with our retail and catalog customers. The Data Specialist will ideally possess excellent technical, communication, and organizational skills, preferably with some experience in the field. They will have a history of good attendance and possess a solid understanding of most Microsoft products, especially Excel. Must be detail oriented, work well under pressure, able to handle multiple tasks, and available to work overtime. Responsibilities will include:
· Processing data conversions using Windows platform (knowledge of Business Objects/First Logic a huge plus)
· Address standardization
· Merge Purge/Duplicate Elimination
· Master file/Database updates
· Client mailings
· Matchbacks
· Postal Presort/Inkjet
· File manipulations
· File transfers
· Data mapping of Name and address fields
· Data normalization
· Query selections, Nthing, Rekeying
· Interpreting written job specifications and selecting appropriate job streams
· Performing quality control audits of output
· Reporting and output distribution
· Maintaining individual job schedules (typically consisting of approximately 7 projects with due dates ranging between 1 and 21 days)
· Reformatting incoming files (Delimited, Flat, XLS, DBF, etc.) and manipulating flat files into reports.
Additional Details:
● Location: Remote or East Islip, NY.
● Salary Range: $50,000 - $65,000, commensurate with experience.
