    QA Analyst II CrossLink - Tracy, CA 95304 SUMMARY The Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst II works in a small, central QA team that has full responsibility for testing all production software applications for CrossLink in desktop environments and web-based solutions. This person must be able to work with QA manager, product management and develops to understand requirements and development issues, including attending any scheduled or impromptu meetings. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES * Construct and execute test processes for medium-scale projects, assist in testing larger scale projects. * Utilize bug trafficking software to record and detail defects during testing * Write test plans and scripts from limited requirements to no technical information, as taken from development strategy meetings. * Experience in creating and testing comprehensive test cases and detailed test procedures for System, Integration, Regression, Smoke, Functional/Black Box, Grey Box, and White Box testing. * Work with QA manager, product manager, and developers to understand requirements and development issues. * Must have the technical ability to isolate issues found in code and test scripts to quickly determine root causes. * Work under minimal supervision to construct and execute test processes for medium-scale projects, assist in testing larger-scale projects, use bug-tracking software to record and detail defects, and write test plans and scripts from limited to no technical information. * Document and concisely communicate defect issues or change requests to developers. * Perform other duties as assigned. REQUIRED SKILLS * B.S. in computer science, mathematics, or related discipline. Equivalent work experience in IT, accounting, software development, and/or technical training may be considered in lieu of degree. * 2-4 years of professional experience in software development or related fields; analysis, design, and implementation. * 2+ years of software QA experience on desktop and web based applications or equivalent experience in the Tax Software industry. * Must be able to create test scenarios with or without formal documentation. * Experience with agile test tools and methodologies and knowledge of automation testing processes and tools. * Experience testing effectively in an environment with limited information at the time of testing * Must be able to work independently on projects in a fast paced environment. * Outstanding written and verbal communication skills * Meticulous attention to detail and excellent analytical problem solving/trouble shooting skills. * Proven strong analytical problem solving and troubleshooting skills * Willingness and desire to develop and maintain strong relationships with multiple departments within the company and with external contractors. 4 hours ago - save job - original job
