POSITION OVERVIEW
Basic Function of the Position:
Crossroads is seeking a skilled individual to serve as Schedule Support to support project managers with developing, status, and maintaining project schedules and budgets in the Corps Project Management System (PROMIS), to provide District support in
maintaining PROMIS data quality, and to provide training and mentoring to new Government schedulers.
Critical Duties and Responsibilities:
-Initiate new projects in PROMIS, develop Work Breakdown Structures in accordance with program
guidance, develop schedule activities and budgets, execute PROMIS workflows and CEFMS
interfaces.
-Create and maintain project baselines in accordance with program guidance.
-Assist project managers with monthly statusing for program reporting purposes, and incorporating changes into their projects.
-Review PROMIS data quality, take steps to ensure data complies with corporate, regional (NWD) and program
standards, and address specific inquiries and data calls from higher level authorities.
-Provide one-on-one or small group training to new Federal employees on an ad hoc or semi-formal basis as coordinated between the Consultants and trainees.
-PROMIS student training handbooks, modified to incorporate PMBOK, EM 5-1-11 USACE Project Delivery Business Process, P2 User Guide and Oracle Primavera Online Help information, are available for the consultants' adaptation and use.
Requirements:
-At least three years fully successful experience providing technical leadership to project teams in
project scheduling and controls.
-At least one year experience teaching scheduling concepts and practices in a formal (classroom)
and/or informal (peer-to-peer) settings.
-Must have excellent communication skills.
-PROMIS experience and knowledge of Corps data quality standards in at least one mission area (Civil Works, Military, and/or Environmental/IIS), as demonstrated by one year's fully successful experience providing technical leadership and support to project teams in in the following: developing schedules from program guidance (templates) activity relationships and duration estimates provided by the project team.
-Resource and cost loading projects in PROMIS based on estimates developed by the project team; statusing, updating, and reporting project status, and troubleshooting data quality issues in the Corps of Engineers Project Management system, PROMIS.
-A four-year degree in Project or Business Management or related field.
