POSITION OVERVIEW
Crossroads is assisting its strategy partner, PRM Consulting, in conducting a retained search for a Head of Human Resources position for its client, Rand Construction Group. The Head of Human Resources will plan, lead, direct, develop, and coordinate the policies, activities, and staff of the Human Resource (HR) department, ensuring legal compliance and implementation of the organization mission/vision and talent strategy.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Collaborates with senior leadership to understand the organization goals and strategy related to HR
· Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organization's HR compliance and strategy needs
· Administers and oversees the administration of HR programs including, but not limited to, recruitment, on-boarding, and exit process; benefits and compensation; disciplinary matters, disputes, and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; health and safety; and training and development
· Continued review of HR policies and procedures; Employee Handbook; and standard operating procedures
· Manage employee performance evaluation process; work with management and learning and development manager to develop strategies for people development, advancement, and training
· Research organizational trends from HRIS (ADP), such as turnover, and learning management system (Cornerstone)
· Oversee progressive discipline cycle and compliance
· Function as a trusted advisor and business partner to the organization's leaders, providing expert guidance on complex and sensitive HR issues
· Work with HR recruiter on staffing needs and to spearhead best in class recruiting and retention plan
· Direct utilization of HR systems and technology to maximize effectiveness and efficiency
· Implement performance development system and compensation plan
· Partner with management regarding compensation administration and provide communication to employees regarding salary increases, promotions, and bonuses
· Maintain oversight of direct reports responsibilities, goals, and initiatives
· Oversee front desk and office facilities
· Establish and maintain external industry contacts to enhance rand's image and learn best practices and programs
· Research and establish with senior leadership community related events
· Create a best-in-class work experience and culture to assist in earning top workplace awards
· Work with marketing on employee events planning
· Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION/LICENSE, INCOMING EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
· BA/BS Degree required in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field; MA/MS degree preferred
· 8-10 years of progressive human resources/generalist experience
PHYSICAL/VISUAL ACTIVITIES OR DEMANDS
· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard reach, stoop, and kneel
· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work
· Light to moderate lifting is required
· Regular, consistent in-office hours required
· Possess good hearing (normal or corrected)
