    JOB SUMMARY The Attorney Recruiting Coordinator will be responsible for the administrative coordination and implementation of the summer associate program, on-campus recruitment and lateral associate/counsel recruitment processes for the California Offices (LA, Orange County and San Francisco).  The position will be located in our Orange County or Los Angeles, CA office.  

    JOB DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITIES Law Student/On-Campus Recruitment Process  •    Coordinates the OCI registration process for all California offices. Completes sign-up forms and required candidate data requests, process payment, manage date assignments.  •    Prepares and distribute interview binders and marketing materials. •    Processes resumes, updates candidate tracking database, runs and updates data reports, and maintains complete candidate files in recruitment candidate database. •    Schedules callback interviews and works with AR Manager to ensure seamless candidate experience and interview process. •    Assists with greeting candidates and call-back interview day logistics. •    Makes reservations and arrangements for supplemental recruitment receptions and other follow-up events. •    Assists the firm-wide recruitment team with the administration of the 1L Diversity Scholar recruitment. 

    SUMMER ASSOCIATE PROGRAM •    Works with the firm-wide recruitment team to coordinate all aspects of the CA offices summer associate programs, including pre-arrival setup and communications, orientation, social events, work allocation and evaluations, summer committee meetings, and final offer decision process. •    Serves as the primary point of contact for the summer associates throughout the summer program in the CA offices; acts as an advisor to the Manager of Attorney Recruitment and Summer Associate Chair Partner to trouble-shoot issues, identify opportunities for growth and ensure compliance with program process and procedures.

    LATERAL ASSOCIATE/COUNSEL/PROFESSIONAL TRACK ATTORNEY RECRUITMENT AND ON-BOARDING •    Posts job descriptions on internal and external recruitment sites, processes and distributes Associate/Counsel/Professional Track Attorney candidate applications, prepares and distributes interview schedules and candidate materials to interviewing attorneys, solicits evaluations from attorney interviewers, coordinates and oversees conflicts and background check processes, prepares offer packets and maintains candidate recruitment files (for all CA offices). •    Communicates effectively and responsively with candidates, headhunters and internal practice group leaders on all aspects of the recruitment process. •    Coordinates all aspects of on-boarding and orientation schedules for Associate, Counsel and Professional Track Attorney new hires in all CA offices.  •    Assists in developing talent pipelines, alternative strategic recruitment methods and firm-wide processes and procedures to effectively and efficiently fill positions with top-rate talent. •    Prepares and updates various demographic and statistical recruitment data reports.  •    Assists with NY office lateral Associate/Counsel/Professional Track Attorney recruitment and orientation processes when needed.

    GENERAL •    Assists with preparing CA office specific responses to NALP forms, recruitment surveys and other related reports. •    Maintains and updates recruitment content on firm intranet site, LinkedIn page, external website and other related marketing materials.  •    Ensures compliance with CA office specific recruitment budgets. Prepares, reviews and approves recruitment related expense reports. •    Stays current and informed on legal industry recruitment best practices, trends and news; be an active member of local legal recruitment organization and NALP. •    Attends all recruitment department and related talent team meetings.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    Education The position requires a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.  Equivalent training and experience may substitute for education.

    Experience The position requires a minimum of two (2) years of directly related recruiting experience in a law firm environment during which knowledge, skills and abilities relevant to the position were demonstrated.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES •    Outstanding interpersonal, judgement and communication skills.  •    Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload to manage multiple responsibilities and changing priorities to meet deadlines and complete daily responsibilities. Ability to work independently and in a team environment demonstrating reliability, dependability and flexibility is essential.   •    Must be able to work occasional extended hours during busy summer periods, attend all OC or LA office summer associate evening events and travel to SF when needed. •    Advanced technical skills and expertise in candidate tracking platforms, electronic presentations (PowerPoint or equivalent), data presentation (excel or equivalent) and social media, plus the ability to adapt and learn new technology and software. •    Superior interpersonal and communication skills, and demonstrated ability to provide quality client service on routine and complex matters with internal and external contacts (candidates, attorneys, search firm professionals, law school representatives and all levels of firm professional staff). •    Ability to respect, protect and maintain highly confidential and sensitive information.
