  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    Crown is hiring a Principal ATC Analyst who possesses specialized Air Traffic Control experience in an operational environment (military terminal experience is acceptable). The candidate must be capable of contributing to the identification, planning, and resolution of issues relating to integrating UAS into the NAS. The candidate will coordinate with the necessary entities, and perform the work needed to meet the project objectives.

    Responsibilities:

    • UAS in the NAS – Support AJV-P22 with Part 91.113 waiver process, SMS planning and execution, UAS policy advice
    • Access and retrieve documents from 91.113 KSN, DroneZone, CAPS and LAANC
    • Able to communicate within the team, Service Centers and other Lines of Business
    • Provide sound and well thought out analysis and recommendations to enhance UAS Policy and Procedures
    • Provide Freedom of Information (FOIA)) to AJV-P22
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of 10 years of ATC experience preferably in an operational FAA Terminal environment (military ATC experience is also acceptable)
    • Knowledge of relevant regulations and FAA Orders (e.g. FAA JO 7110.65, FAA JO 7210.3, JO 7200.23, AC 91-57, 14 C.F.R. parts 91 and 107)
    • Ability to communicate (listen and respond) to the customer in both verbal and written formats
    • Ability to coordinate, facilitate, and provide output from meeting and conduct follow-up activities, including action tracking
    • Ability to identify and understand safety requirements associated with mixing UAS with manned aircraft in the National Airspace System
    • Understanding of exemptions and operational approvals for use of UAS, known as the Certificate of Authorization, or COA
    • Understanding and development of FAA policy, procedures, and standards, particularly as they might apply to UAS
    • Must have the ability to obtain a Public Trust

    Desired Skills

    • Understanding of UAS and air traffic operations
    • Knowledge of the various class of airspace
    • Knowledge of Part 107
    • Knowledge of COA
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products
