    Job Description

    Crown is seeking a full-time STEM Education Specialist who will support NASA’s workforce experience activities with a STEM focus for students grades K-16. The candidate will be responsible for working in a team environment at the NASA Glenn Research Center in Cleveland, Ohio identifying synergies, efficiencies, opportunities for collaboration, and areas of improvement in the execution of NASA’s internship program. The candidate must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide support and assistance in the use of NASA’s online application and registration system for internships, fellowships, academic, research, professional development opportunities, and other learning experiences
    • Provide educational workshops in-person and virtually for students and adult learners
    • Manage communication and engagement with center-based points of contact
    • Support recruitment activities to attract a diverse cohort of participants
    • Receive and review applications and aid in the selection of a diverse cohort of participants
    • Develop and track key performance indicators and measures of success
    • Analyze and summarize disparate information in a clear and concise manner
    • Draft data collection methodologies and coordinate with appropriate organizations
    • Support special projects as requested
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree (Master's Degree is highly desirable)
    • Must have 5+ years of related experience
    • Ability to work in a team-based environment
    • Knowledge of current best practices and research in the implementation of K-16 education programs
    • Ability to make effective use of diverse resources, including multimedia, online, and social media in the promotion and implementation of education programs
    • Must have proficiency with Microsoft (MS) Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
    • Must be willing to travel as it may be required
    • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and presentation skills
    • Excellent customer relationship management skills
    • Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
