    Job Description

    The Business Management Analyst will support the NextGen Portfolio Management and Technology Office (ANG-C) of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).  The work performed by ANG-C encompasses NextGen critical path concept validation, technology development, and prototyping of new capabilities to improve aviation system safety, capacity, and efficiency.  This task provides management support for the ANG-C2 New Entrants Division manage to manage, track, and execute New Entrant grant process activities.  The Business Management Analyst will provide support focused on the coordination, accounting, planning, and administration functions.  Support will also include providing business process analysis, describing and creating defined business and operations controls, and providing other business management functions such as budgeting, financial analysis, and planning and control allocated funding.

    SPECIFIC DUTIES

    • Create and maintain division-level project deliverable tracker
    • Draft project documents for review by Program Manager
    • Coordinate and submit ANG-C2 weekly reports
    • Attend various division staff meetings
    • Coordinate offsite events/meetings
    • Review/edit presentation materials and briefings
    • Collaborate on records management efforts
    • Coordinate new employee onboarding and resources
    • Track ANG-C2 personnel certifications and training achievements
    • Maintain supply inventory and ordering

    REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

    • BS degree + 5 relevant years of experience in Engineering, Math, or Science; or
      • Ph.D. + 3 relevant year of experience 
      • Master’s degree + 4 relevant years of experience 
      • No degree + 13 relevant years of experience
    • Project Management experience; project planning and schedule development using Microsoft Project (intermediate to advanced MS Project experience)
    • Maintaining project schedule calendars and administering the calendars of others, including scheduling and coordinating large meetings and conferences involving key stakeholders
    • Experience with Independent Government Cost Estimates, or obtaining estimates and presenting them in preferred formats
    • Good agenda development skills and ability to take and distribute minutes with fast turnaround
    • SharePoint user experience; ability to navigate, upload, and collaborate using SharePoint
    • Must be a highly motivated self-starter
    • Possess good communication skills and the ability to communicate efficiently and effectively both written and verbally
    • Ability to take direction easily and remain flexible as needs evolve
    • Must be able/willing to take on new challenges; execute tasks in small windows of time; and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
    • Ability to operate proactively – to anticipate where support for the client is needed
    • Stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills, including the ability to conduct such activities seamlessly in a virtual environment, as required
    • At a minimum the candidate should have experience and be well versed with the Office 365 suite, including but not limited to: SharePoint, Teams, PowerPoint, Word Excel, etc.
    • Ability to obtain Public Trust Clearance

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION

    This position operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax and print machines. This position is largely sedentary; however, constant repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers. Seldom lifting of office supplies weighing up to 20 pounds as necessary.
