    Job Description

    JOB SUMMARY:

    The Contracts Administrator will be responsible for assisting in the preparation, review, and administration of contracts relating to manufacturing projects.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    None.

     DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Provide detailed and accurate analysis of customer’s contract terms and conditions; review customer’s contracts, purchase orders and change orders for accuracy
    • Participate in the creation of commercial terms in Bid Proposals
    • Analyze and resolve business risk areas and mitigate issues
    • Monitor all contract deadlines and conditions to ensure timelines are kept and ensure all information and documents are returned completed
    • Prepare preliminary notices and help prepare lien releases
    • Collect insurance certificates from subcontractors and order certificates and bonds for customers
    • Draft and revise legal documents as needed
    • Complete reporting not limited to commission and sales reports and customer compliance reports
    • Perform other related duties as assigned

    KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

    • Extensive knowledge of contract principles and procedures
    • Knowledge and understanding of the legal requirements involved in contracts
    • Working knowledge of sales/use tax and insurance (general liability, workers compensation, auto liability) in a multi-state capacity highly desirable
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook and Excel)

    EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required
    • Two years previous experience as a contract administrator, or related field preferably in the construction or engineering field

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
    • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
    • Must be able to traverse the production floor as needed.
