    Experienced Line Cook /Culinary Artist

    Company Overview:

    Kaeding Management Group, a small yet rapidly growing Hotel Management company, has acquired the Crowne Plaza AiRE in Bloomington, MN. Kaeding Management represents an organizational model of employee-centered culture, focusing on the personal and professional development of our associates. We are seeking an experienced Chef/Line Cook to help bolster our Culinary efforts at the Crowne Plaza AiRE.

    Job Purpose:

    The Line Cook/Culinary Artist, responsibilities include studying recipes, setting up menus and preparing high-quality dishes with advanced cooking techniques and non-traditional ingredients as a forward-thinking Chef who is passionate about culinary arts. The ideal candidate for this position will be a natural leader who always has a finger on the pulse of current culinary trends.

    The primary focal purpose is ultimately to prepare and deliver a complete menu that delights our guests.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Warmly greet and acknowledge every guest encountered.

    Take care of every guest request quickly and in a friendly manner.

    Help create a warm and hospitable atmosphere at the property.

    Project a professional image through appearance and conduct.

    Be committed to guest comfort, safety, and security.

    Provide reliable information about the service available at the hotel and the local area.

    Work to make everything right for the guest.

    Follow all safety guidelines while working with various equipment and materials.

    Follow proper guidelines when lifting, pulling, or pushing heavy objects.

    Insist others follow the safety guidelines.

    Attend all safety-training seminars and successfully complete all assessments.

    Report all possible safety concerns to your supervisor immediately after their discovery.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

    EDUCATION:

    High school diploma or equivalent

    Certification in Culinary, preferred

    Post Secondary Education in Culinary, preferred

    EXPERIENCE:

    Minimum 1 years' experience with food preparation as a Cook.

    Hands-on experience with various kitchen equipment (e.g. grillers, pasta, and pizza makers)

    Some knowledge of culinary, baking and pastry techniques

    Leadership knowledge and ability

    Ability to work well under pressure

    Excellent time management skills

    Up-to-date knowledge of cooking techniques and recipes

    Familiarity with sanitation regulations

    SKILLS:

    Ability to withstand high temperatures for up to 8 consecutive hours

    Ability to stand for up to 8 consecutive hours

    Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

    Willingness to adhere to all company policies and procedures

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    Follow all safe food handling procedures as required by local health codes.

    Prepare food as ordered by the guest.

    Assist in the prep work as needed or requested.

    Maintain a clean, neat, and organized work area.

    Prepare food as directed by the Executive Chef.

    Complete deep cleaning assignments as assigned or scheduled.

    Assist in other areas of the kitchen, restaurant, banquets, and hotel as needed or requested.

    Have the ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and/or holidays

    Ability to effectively listen and communicate with internal and external customers

    Ability to stand and move throughout the property and perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
