We are seeking a talented Sales Manager to continue our growth at the Crowne Plaza AiRE.

    Job Purpose:

    A Sales Manager is responsible for soliciting, booking, and coordinating group room and catering sales for various prospect segments to meet and/or exceed revenue and profit goals. This position negotiates room rates, date and space for group accounts according to all brand, hotel, franchise, and Crowne Plaza standards in order to meet/exceed revenue and profit goals and exceed guest expectations.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Solicit, book, and coordinate business through various efforts (outside sales calls, telemarketing, tele-prospecting, mailing, referrals, networking, social media, etc.) to exceed goals.

    Conduct property tours, site visits, client luncheons, local market sales blitzes, and entertain clients as needed.

    Coordinate customer specifications with departments quickly and efficiently.

    Respond to client issues, comments, and problems to ensure a quality experience and enhance future sales prospects.

    Develop a marketing strategy by analyzing historical, current and future hotel/market trends, and create selling strategies to capture large/complex accounts while maximizing revenue and meeting/exceeding sales goals.

    Develop and continually enhance relationships with accounts to maintain and increase market share.

    Maintain accurate legible records and file to provide group history and ensure future and current quality service and enhance future prospects.

    Participate in trade shows and community and professional organizations to maintain high visibility and achieve sales and revenue goals.

    Investigate and analyze current activities and information in the Sales & Marketing field and make logical conclusions and recommendations.

    Achieve activity goals as established by management and complete all reports and assignments in an accurate and timely fashion.

    Develop customer profiles and maintains an effective trace system, including trace dates and references, in order to best meet client needs, resulting in superior account service and increased revenues.

    Maintain well-documented, accurate, organized and up-to-date file management system in order to serve client and employer in the most expedient, organized, and knowledgeable manner.

    Ensure adequate controls are installed and maintained for the protection of the hotel’s financial assets against loss or misappropriation.

    Communicate to both, guests and fellow associates, professionally and positively.

    Other duties as assigned.

    Experience, Skills, and Abilities:

    Bachelor's degree preferred.

    1 year of hotel sales preferred, 2-3 years' sales experience required.

    Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Delphi, Knowland, Opera.

    Ability to provide customer service at all times with guest and co-workers.

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills in terms of the ability to negotiate, convince, sell, and influence professionals and hotel guests.

    Ability to professionally correspond and communicate in various formats such as email, letters, reports, proposals, etc.

    Able to work well with a team, promote an atmosphere of teamwork, and instill a can-do attitude.

    Demonstrates the ability to maximize impact, maintain interest and establish a rapport with the audience when conveying information.

    Proactively prioritize needs, and effectively manage resources and time.

    Understands the positioning of the hotel, services provided and how the hotel can meet the needs of the clients and be capable of closing business.

    Efficiently able to operate computers and systems preferred.

    Ability to effectively listen and communicate with internal and external customers

    Ability to stand and move throughout the property and perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
