    Job Description

    Crowninshield Financial Research is a financial economics consulting firm based in Brookline, Massachusetts.  The firm provides financial and economic analysis, research services, expert witness testimony, consulting, and advisory services to nationally recognized law firms, financial institutions, and government agencies.  Typical engagements include securities litigation and complex business cases.  The firm utilizes a collaborative approach to projects in which Ph.D., MBA and junior level analysts work together to produce deliverables of the highest quality.

    Crowninshield is currently looking to hire an experienced forensic financial analyst for an associate leadership role. For this position, we seek candidates with exceptional academic records; education and training in finance, economics, and quantitative methods; and superior communication skills.  Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, in which hard-work, initiative, attention to detail, and adherence to the highest standards of quality are critical.

    Ideal candidates are individuals with superior quantitative, writing, organization, and team leadership skills, who are seeking a challenging and rewarding environment in a growing enterprise that values their skill and commitment to excellence.

    Qualifications for Associates are:

    1)     Bachelor’s degree required, and master’s degree in Economics/Finance or MBA preferred.

    2)     3-7 years’ experience in consulting or finance.

    3)     The Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, or progress towards achieving this credential, is desirable.

    4)     Superior analytical and research skills.

    5)     Excellent writing and communication skills.

    6)     Collaborative nature in a team setting and a “can do” attitude.

    7)     Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.

    8)     Computer programming and analytical software expertise (such as Matlab, R, or SAS) is desirable.

    9)     Intellectual curiosity.

    Candidates must submit a recent resume. Candidates will be required to provide a writing sample and references. The application process will include a writing assessment.
