Job Summary:
We are looking to build the best Fitness team in Lawrence! Are you looking to get into the fitness industry? Are you interested in training? We are looking for individuals who are in the process or are interested in getting their Personal Training certification to join our Pre-Sale team! The Pre-Sale team will be a group of individuals coming together to spread the word about the new Crunch Fitness opening in Lawrence.
Responsible for:
Upholding the Crunch Franchise core values of T.R.A.I.N.: Timely, Ready, Attentive, Inspiring, Noble.
Make reaching fitness goals achievable by assisting members and clients with education and guidance on comprehensive fitness programs including resistance and cardio-respiratory training, general nutritional guidelines, and nutritional product recommendations.
Helping members get signed up for the best membership option for them.
Grass Root Marketing. We are going to be going out into the community to spread the word about Crunch through grassroot marketing and B2B tactics.
Organizational Relationship:
Reports to the Pre-Sale Manager and General/Assistant Manager on site. With the goal of transferring over into the gym as a personal trainer who will then be underneath the PT Manager
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
The Personal Trainer is responsible for performing the following activities for the club:
Service Clients [70% of time]
Create an outstanding initial personal training experience for introductory package clients
Prepare and deliver comprehensive fitness programs based on clients’ goals that include appropriate exercise selection, nutritional programming and teaching a fitness lifestyle
Inform clients of the fitness tools available to assist them in achieving their goals
Inform members on all the options Crunch Fitness has to offer
Service Community [30% of time]
Instruct members on proper use of club equipment and exercise techniques
Assist, at the club management’s request, in any member service activities (e.g., fitness seminars, boot camps, body fat tables, supplement/nutritional product demos etc.)
Understand all aspects and benefits of the Kickoff Session and deliver a positive fitness experience to members and guests
Help with grassroot marketing and B2B events until the club is open for workouts
Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Education Level:
High School Diploma or GED required
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
Certifications: (One or more of the following certifications that you are in the process of completing or looking to start on)
American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM)
Certified Personal Trainer
Health Fitness Specialist
American Council on Exercise (ACE)
Personal Trainer Certification
The Cooper Institute
Personal Trainer Certification
International Fitness Professionals Association (IFPA)
Personal Trainer Certification
National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM)
Certified Personal Trainer

National Federation of Professional Trainers (NFPT)

Certified Personal Trainer
Certified Strength and Conditional Specialist (CSCS)
Experience:
Common Fitness Knowledge or previous PT experience wanted but not needed.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Physical effort required for daily duties include lifting weights, squatting, bending, reaching, spotting, and prolonged standing and walking.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job the team member is regularly outside helping spread the word or helping members get signed up
Extended workdays are a frequent occurrence, as are weekends & holidays as needed to support the business.
