    POSITION TITLE: Controller  

    DEPARTMENT: Finance

    REPORTS TO: CFO

    OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY:

    Reporting to the CFO, the Controller will drive the finance function for Cubex and lead a team of 4-5 direct reports. This leader will be responsible for general accounting, lease accounting, cash management, audits, and financial reporting. The Controller must possess the strategic, technical and financial leadership capacity with strong work ethic and commitment to play an integral role in the financial management of the Company. This leader will be tasked with leading the financial system management. Key to this person success will be the ability to identify areas of improvement, assess talent capabilities; system and procedure needs and be a strategic thought leader for the organization.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Manage the month end closing and financial reporting process including account analysis and complex account reconciliations.
    • Provide supporting analysis and detail for management to use in evaluating business performance.
    • Prepare accurate and timely monthly financial statements.
    • Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization.
    • Provide timely filing of bank reporting requirements.
    • Work with external auditors to ensure audits are conducted in an efficient manner.
    • Provides budgeting expertise and oversight to business leaders and the overall corporation.
    • Develop, document and implement new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department including finance and accounting policies and procedures.
    • Work with Management in processes implementation and continuous improvement.
    • Coordinate and lead all financial budgeting and forecasting activities.
    • Ensure and support the timely and accurate delivery of internal and external financial reporting information/documents.
    • Develop and manage a reporting mechanism for key performance indicators.
    • NetSuite system owner
    • Ensure compliance of all company financial policies and procedures.
    • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop analytical frameworks to support current operations, new initiatives and strategies across the Company.
    • Provide insights into financial drivers of the business, operational costs, productivity, market trends, sales initiatives, risks, and opportunities which lead to better strategic decisions.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 8+ years of finance and accounting experience; 3+ years of management experience.
    • Experience with technology companies.  
    • Experience in the medical market is a plus.  
    • Experience leading the selection and implementation of ERP.
    • NetSuite experienced desired.  
    • Excellent knowledge of GAAP; public accounting experience a plus.
    • Extensive experience with general accounting, treasury, budgeting and financial reporting.
    • Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects.
    • Experience leading external auditors and dealing with outside investor information requests.
    • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.
    • Experience managing multiple projects/initiatives in fast-paced environment, meet deadlines and challenge status quo.
    • Ability to develop and enforce sound finance and accounting policies and procedures.
    • Supply chain and purchasing experience desired.
    • Strong analytical skills, as well as excellent financial planning and modeling skills.
    • Ability to adapt to changing business requirements and grasp new ideas.
    • Experience presenting analysis and key findings to the senior management team.
