Catering Sales Manager
Modesto, CA
Responsible for all aspects of the catering sales process including maintaining, building, and coordinating the development of group/special events from new and existing guests or clients. Oversees catering events through delivery and post-event evaluations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Increases event and catering sales revenue by executing outbound sales call requirements to drive awareness, implementing lead generating strategies; identifying and pursuing target markets and community demographics.
- Manages event administrative requirements and logistics by developing and adhering to any contracts and confirmed agreements.
- Maintains a close working relationship with each event host to include, meeting and greeting the event organizer, following up with the event hosts to ensure satisfaction and maximize referrals.
- Consistently delivers high standards of care to existing guests and to promote further business by exceeding guest expectations
- Weekly sales reporting and forecasting for management
- Assists fellow team members as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Hospitality, Restaurant/Business Management, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 1+ years of experience in managing catering and events.
- ServSafe Food Handler and TIPS or LEAD Certificate; in regulation with County or State requirements.
- Adaptable in a fast-paced environment and works well with others.
- Friendly, outgoing, and possess excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours
