    This is a J-1 Cultural Exchange Program opportunity exclusive to non-U.S. citizens.

    American Journey Cultural Exchange (AJ1) will serve as your official J-1 visa sponsor. With over 25 years of experience, AJ1 proudly connects international students and emerging hospitality professionals with top-tier hotels and resorts across the United States, fostering cultural exchange and career growth through hands-on training experiences.

    Program Highlights

    Duration: 10–14 weeks. Designed to take place during academic break.

    Earn $2,600 – $3,100 USD per month ($16.00–$19.00/hour, 40 hrs/week).

    Hands-on experience in large-scale culinary operations, including fine dining, high-end banquets, pool & beachfront restaurants, and specialty cuisine concepts.

    Practical, confidence-building English classes Monday–Thursday.

    Pre-arranged housing options available (optional airport transfer upon arrival).

    Exposure to a multicultural workforce in a destination that welcomes international talent.

    Requirements for J-1 Program Participation

    Exclusive to non-U.S. citizens.

    You must be currently enrolled in, or a recent graduate of, a Culinary Arts program:

    If you have graduated over a year ago, you must hold your culinary degree plus at least 1 year of professional culinary experience.

    Basic English communication skills – both verbal and written.

    Positive attitude, professionalism, and a strong commitment to guest service.

    Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

    Must meet general J-1 Visa eligibility requirements as set by the U.S. Department of State.
