Position Summary Are you a culinary professional with a passion for foodservice operations and technology? DMO is seeking a Culinary Manager to join our team! This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hybrid environment—balancing culinary creativity with operational structure. You’ll collaborate closely with clients, dietitians, and internal teams to build menus, develop recipes, support inventory systems, and ensure data accuracy in our software.
What You'll Do:
Menu & Recipe Development
Create and customize seasonal client menus (Spring/Summer, Fall/Winter).
Standardize recipes including nutritional content, allergen info, yields, and preparation instructions.
Ensure regulatory compliance (e.g., CMS, state guidelines).
Inventory & Procurement Coordination
Set up and maintain client-specific inventory databases.
Align inventory tracking with purchasing and storage processes.
Identify efficiencies to reduce waste and improve procurement workflows.
Required Qualifications
Experience with dietary software.
Knowledge of therapeutic diets and healthcare food regulations.
Familiarity with procurement platforms (e.g., US Foods, Premier).
Culinary degree or Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) credential.
This position is kind of the best of all worlds, working in food service but out of the kitchen. Normal reasonable hours!
The position can pay up between $22.00 to $25.00 to start. The hours will be 15-20 hours per week to start but will have the ability to grow into a full-time position over the next 6 months.
