The Culinary Vegetable Institute is nestled in a private scenic setting in Milan, Ohio in a location where special events such as weddings, anniversaries, corporate/individual private dinners are held throughout the year in a white tablecloth atmosphere where guests enjoy skillfully prepared dishes that will entice their palate.

If you are someone who has event planning experience and has work in a white tablecloth setting, we currently have a full time opening for a Group Sales & Special Events Manager.

The responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Prospecting qualifying leads to uncover new business opportunities

Continually building strong client relationships using effective communication techniques via phone, email and in person

Maintaining the client database. Contacting existing/former clients for feedback on their experience, products and services

Have timely, clear and concise communication with all existing/potential new clients regarding their pre- and post-event expectations

Coordinate all clients’ needs relative to the event goals which will include but is not limited to: equipment requirements/setup, agenda/timing, menu content, outside rentals etc.

Assist Office Manager and Executive Chef Liason in creating/executing a sales plan that will result in meeting/exceeding the establishment’s annual sales goal

Qualifications:

Experience prospecting and coordinating group and private events

Outstanding customer service skills is a must, over the phone and in-person

Exceptionally organized, detail-oriented, and self-directed team player
