Description:
The Production Operator performs various duties in the manufacturing environment. These include the set up and maintenance of equipment, materials and process. This position works within a team environment to complete a finished product that adheres to Cultiva’s product and quality requirements.

- Correctly utilize all safety PPE as required
- Follow directions of work assignments directed by Manager and Supervisor
- Report all incidents (injuries, spills, accidents and poor performance)
- Perform all quality checks standards with honesty and integrity
- Operate processing equipment at maximum efficiency
- Inspect and evaluate equipment conditions regularly
- Eliminate all waste on raw materials and production activities
- Function as a team member to share the workload maximizing efficiency and productivity
- Engender good practices, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
Daily duties:
- Review daily production schedules meeting established productivity levels
- Mix and blend ingredients to create various batches according to formulations and mixing instructions
- Ensure all products are manufactured and packaged safely by following Good Manufacturing Practices
- Responsible for monitoring and control of ingredients
- Maintain documentation and records of lot numbers, quantities, and expiration dates
- Safe operation of powered industrial forklift for moving raw materials
- Ensure the manufacturing area and equipment is kept clean and sanitized to minimize risk of contamination
- Perform related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates
- Must be able to wear required Personal Protective equipment (PPE) for extended periods of time
- Work, lead and train Temporary employees
- Assure tools are maintained in good working order and put in proper storage locations
Required Competencies, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Basic understanding of computers including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Have a clean driving record
- Must be able to climb stairs and ladders
- Strong communication skills (written and oral)
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
- Demonstrates a strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of mass, volume, and density principles
- Must have own transportation.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include possible holidays and weekends.
- Familiarity with handling hazardous materials and following safety guidelines
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task and work under minimum supervision
- Must be at least 18 years old

- Knowledge Inventory Management Software
- Driver's License (Required)
- Forklift (Knowledge)
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform repetitious work
- Ability to lift 70 lbs.
- Ability to twist, grasp, reach, turn, and lift 45lbs repetitively 70% of a shift
- Ability to stand on your feet 90% of a shift
- Squatting, pushing/pulling, and climbing 65% of a shift
Able to work 8 to 10 hours depending of shift Monday to Friday sometime weekends
