Responsibilities: • Argue motions in court on behalf of clients during legal proceedings • Prepare various legal documents, such as motions, pleadings, briefs, and correspondence • Identify client conflicts and determine case strategies with options for resolution • Preside over paralegals, administrative assistants in connection with keeping track of time records, reviewing client billing, setting up client meetings and completing client projects • Counsel clients by assessing options and determining the best course of action for a successful outcome Qualifications: • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience working in a law firm environment • Jobseekers should be a member of their local bar association - active member preferred Association • Decision-making, public speaking, problem-solving, interpersonal skills, and communication skills are a must • Required Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school; representation of clients for at least 2 years a plus • Must be able to handle heavy caseload with little supervision • Fluent in both spoken and written English and Spanish • Immigration law experience or a strong desire to learn • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and Adobe programs is necessary (Experience with MyCase or other practice management software is helpful) Compensation: $85,000 - $110,000 yearly DOE

    • Represent clients in removal proceedings: Master & Individual (Final) Hearings (Appear in immigration court: generally in Chicago or WebEx video, but also some travel may be necessary for other US immigration courts)
