    Our law firm is looking for a Lawyer who is ready to represent our existing client base in immigration matters. The ideal candidate will work closely with the firm’s clients, administrative staff, and the management of the firm. Responsibilities: • The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills which allow for making/taking assignments and communicating effectively with a group in order to complete casework timely • Strategize and prepare clients/witnesses for court/USCIS hearings • Represent clients in removal proceedings: Master & Individual (Final) Hearings (Appear in immigration court: generally in Chicago or WebEx video, but also some travel may be necessary for other US immigration courts) • Prepare and review immigration applications/packets and make any necessary adjustments prior to filing • Prepare and submit legal briefs for a variety of immigration cases • Communicate with the court, USCIS, and ICE on behalf of clients • Meet with potential clients in Initial Consultations and assess our ability to assist the client • Stay abreast of changes to US immigration law and monitor country conditions in countries from which clients immigrate Qualifications: • Bar licensed in any state (preference given to IN) or the ability to be licensed by the end of 2023 • Speaks and writes proficiently in both English and Spanish • Immigration experience or strong desire to learn immigration law • Public speaking, decision-making, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are necessary for this role • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and Adobe programs is necessary (Experience with MyCase or other practice management software is helpful) Compensation: $75,000 - $110,000 yearly
