The ideal candidate will work closely with the firm’s clients, administrative staff, and the management of the firm. Responsibilities: • The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills which allow for making/taking assignments and communicating effectively with a group in order to complete casework timely • Strategize and prepare clients/witnesses for court/USCIS hearings • Represent clients in removal proceedings: Master & Individual (Final) Hearings (Appear in immigration court: generally in Chicago or WebEx video, but also some travel may be necessary for other US immigration courts) • Prepare and review immigration applications/packets and make any necessary adjustments prior to filing • Prepare and submit legal briefs for a variety of immigration cases • Communicate with the court, USCIS, and ICE on behalf of clients • Meet with potential clients in Initial Consultations and assess our ability to assist the client • Stay abreast of changes to US immigration law and monitor country conditions in countries from which clients immigrate Qualifications: • Bar licensed in any state (preference given to IN) or the ability to be licensed by the end of 2023 • Speaks and writes proficiently in both English and Spanish • Immigration experience or strong desire to learn immigration law • Public speaking, decision-making, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are necessary for this role • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and Adobe programs is necessary (Experience with MyCase or other practice management software is helpful) Compensation: $75,000 - $110,000 yearly
