Medical Assistant - Wellness Clinic Natchez MS

Position Overview: We are a well-established internal medicine practice located in Natchez, MS, dedicated to providing comprehensive healthcare services to families and individuals of all ages. We are currently seeking a compassionate, diligent Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in delivering patient care, managing clinical tasks, and supporting our healthcare providers to ensure a smooth, efficient, and caring environment for our patients.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday

9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

Assist physicians and nursing staff in the delivery of patient care by performing clinical duties such as taking vital signs, drawing blood, administering vaccines, and preparing patients for examination.

Perform administrative duties including, but not limited to, scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing, and coding information for insurance purposes.

Facilitate patient communication by providing detailed instructions regarding procedures, medication, and lifestyle adjustments.

Ensure examination rooms are clean and stocked with necessary medical supplies.

Comply with healthcare regulations and safety standards while maintaining patient confidentiality as per HIPAA guidelines.

Collaborate with the healthcare team to support patient care plans.

Participate in educational opportunities to update job knowledge and skills.

Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited medical assistant certification program preferred.

Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is advantageous.

Strong organizational and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and medical staff effectively.

Basic understanding of medical terminology and procedures.

Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
