Position Title: Line Locator Technician
Reports to: Lead Field Operator
Department: Operations
Hourly Rate (depending on experience): starting at $24/hour.

Cureton Midstream is currently seeking a Line Locator Technician to support our field operation in northeast Colorado.
Essential job functions and responsibilities include the following:
Assist the protection of pipeline service interruptions caused by construction by locating and marking/flagging pipeline routes in Hudson, Keenesburg, Gilcrest, Platteville Kersey and Briggsdale. Duties include but are not limited to:
- View maps and other documents to determine existence of underground utilities
- Operate handheld detection equipment in the designed manner to accurately locate and identify underground cables, pipelines, etc.
- Mark the location of such facilities on roadways, private property, and other appropriate locations using required spray paints, flags, and equipment.
- Assist with pipeline pigging operations.
- Monitor pipeline CP (cathodic protection) and voltage with rectifiers, and other types of equipment.
- Complete and document work activities utilizing a laptop computer
- Work periodic overtime and weekend on-call rotation may be requested.
- Work outside in all types of weather conditions
- Ensure your mobile office (that is branded with the company logo) is maintained in clean and professional condition. A fuel card will be provided.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of related work experience.
- Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license to include a safe driving record satisfactory to the company.
- Interpersonal communication skills are required in order to interface with all affected teams, personnel, and vendors.
- Strong work ethic with demonstrated ability to effectively work with minimum supervision.
- Solid computer skills to include Microsoft Office Software
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, with the ability to respond to call outs as needed to fulfill business objective and the ability to work shifts for plant or field conditions.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull 50lbs.
- Ability to work in changing climate conditions.
- Able to work in close quarters: i.e., work while kneeling, squatting, sitting, climbing, and standing.
- Follow and adhere to all applicable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines (ex: eye protection, hearing protection, footwear, FR clothing).
- Regular and Reliable Attendance
- Ability to work independently, be organized, and demonstrate good time management and planning skills
- Good communication skills with contractors, utility representatives, and municipal workers
- Utility construction and/or electrical technology background or training is preferred but not required.
