    We are a boutique law firm focused on children and families. We work in the areas of Family Law and Schools/Education Law. In our Family Law practice, we help families work through the difficulties associated with divorce and co-parenting. In our Schools/Education practice, we work to ensure that marginalized students are given the best shot to succeed as possible. We have a state-wide practice that litigates in both federal and state court. A perfect candidate is one who is team-oriented, caring, patient, detail-oriented, and passionate. The candidate we are looking for will be good at communicating their needs to the team and supporting other team members' needs. The candidate will want to litigate, which includes an appearance in court multiple times per month. Like all litigation positions, this position requires the ability to communicate well in writing through email and other correspondence as well as motion practice. We handle motions as small as motions to continue and as large as summary judgment briefs. If you think you could be a good fit, we encourage you to contact us. Responsibilities: • Keep files organized to make sure the most recent updates are accessible to other attorneys, paralegals, and staff • Review client issues on legal matters, analyze available options, and diligently work to determine the best course of action • Resolve cases efficiently by using communicating effectively with and working alongside senior attorneys and paralegals • Draft documents such as correspondence, pleadings, motions, briefs, affidavits, settlement agreements, and contracts to be used proceedings and contract negotiations • Conduct legal research, prepare for and attend hearings and/or other legal proceedings, and provide legal counsel with the help of senior associate attorneys Qualifications: • Applicants must have successfully passed the state bar exam • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree required from an accredited law school • Prepared to learn from senior attorneys to meet our client needs and grow our client base • Exceptional communication skills and problem-solving skills needed in order to work with all levels of staff and our clients Compensation: $70,000 - $85,000 annually
