We are seeking a Curriculum Specialist who is passionate about supporting teachers, enhancing classroom quality, and ensuring curriculum excellence across all classrooms.
Position Overview
The Curriculum Specialist plays a key leadership role in maintaining and improving the implementation of our curriculum. This position focuses on staff training, classroom support, curriculum oversight, and ensuring classrooms are organized, engaging, and aligned with learning goals.
Daily Responsibilities
Onboard and train new staff (trainings, webinars, lesson planning)
Set up new staff in systems and review curriculum expectations
Monitor classroom supplies and inventory levels
Compile weekly supply order lists (WOL lessons)
Track toys and materials needing repair or replacement
Check playground and outdoor classroom activities
Oversee daily planned activities in each playground
Conduct and support playground lessons
Perform naptime classroom check-ins
Meet with staff to review lesson plans
Organize indoor and outdoor playground supply bins
Log and submit items for ordering
Check classroom center signs and bins for consistency
Ensure learning stations are stocked, labeled, and organized
Conduct classroom observations (1–2 rooms daily)
Review classroom organization, management, and lesson plans
Identify areas for improvement and provide feedback
Encourage intentional documentation (photos) of learning goals
Weekly Responsibilities
Monitor and update classroom assessments; retrain teachers as needed
Support teachers with assessment completion and accuracy
Research and assign staff trainings and webinars
Review classroom newsletters for quality and accuracy
Monthly Responsibilities
Attend and support teacher/family conferences
Plan and organize conferences (twice per year)
Ensure classrooms meet all required standards
Rotate WOL/LLL books for new curriculum units
Inventory and organize classroom books
Maintain the book checkout system
Participate in staff meetings
Provide curriculum updates and training insights to leadership
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (preferred)
Experience in early childhood education (teaching and/or leadership)
Strong understanding of curriculum planning and classroom management
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to coach, train, and support teaching staff
Passion for high-quality early childhood education
