Job Description

We are seeking an accounting assistant to support our finance and accounting team in a variety of tasks related to accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

· Review accounts payable invoices for accuracy and ensure approval is obtained through the PO process.

· Resolve accounts payable discrepancies directly with the payable vendor.

· Enter the accounts payable invoices to the accounting system.

· Prepare checks and/or verify instructions for electronic disbursement.

· Process corporate card expense reports and employee expense reimbursement requests.

· Assist the Controller with vouchering of equipment and vehicle loans.

· Prepare financial reports as requested by the Controller

· Complete credit applications for new accounts payable vendors.

· Assist the Controller with accounts receivable collection as needed

· Answer roll-over phone calls for 9 store locations.

Required Skills:

· Knowledge of basic math and bookkeeping procedures.

· Attention to detail

· Ability to identify and solve problems while working independently.

· Ability to handle confidential information.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

· Ability to organize and prioritize work.

Education and Experience:

· High school graduate.

· 1- 2 year(s) of clerical accounting experience.

· Experience with Charter Aspen dealer management software is a plus, but not required.

Physical Requirements:

· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

· Must be able to lift up to fifteen pounds at times.
