    Adventure Rental Shop Manager

    We’re looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual who is passionate about adventure to join our team for the 2019 season (position runs April - October). The Buffalo Ridge Adventures’ shop manager will oversee the daily management of rentals (UTV, kayaks, paddleboards, bikes, & e-bikes). The shop manager requires someone able to think on their feet to devise creative solutions to problems on-site and manage complex logistics to create a seamless operation. They will need to have extremely organized and pay close attention to detail. The ideal candidate can write clearly and quickly, can carry on a conversation with anybody, and ideally loves UTVing, biking, kayaking, paddleboarding as well as other types of adventure activities. Must love Custer, the Black Hills and hospitality to deliver amazing customer service.

    DUTIES:• Provide safety and general information in a friendly and courteous manner.• Handle monies, maintain accurate records to include daily deposits, operate cash register, collect correct rental fees, make accurate change, operates the POS and assist customers with rental form agreements. Reconcile daily deposits and Rental Agreement Forms.• Oversee and ensure staff policies and procedures are followed on a daily basis.• Monitor parking lot/street area, distribute helmets and ensure proper usage, conduct area patrols as necessary, clean interior and exterior of rentals, follow established opening and closing procedures for Buffalo Ridge Adventures.• Monitor Adventure Shack Snack Bar inventory and sales, keep a clean and orderly appearance, stock items as necessary, and keep the Camp Resort Manager informed of inventory needed.• Report unsafe conditions and equipment,• Have sound judgment and risk management skills.

    SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:• Strong ability to communicate with customers, resort and hotel guests• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds on a regular basis.• a strong operations & equipment management background preferred• Experience and maintenance experience highly preferred.• Knowledge of trails systems, area attractions, local restaurants, directions, etc.• Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism.• Working weekends are necessary.• At least 20 years of age, high school diploma or equivalent.

    RATE OF PAY: Competitive Salary based on experience and certification(s)Applicants must be at least age 20 years of age. Managers average 30-45 hours per week. Salaries vary based on position and qualifications.
