    Marketing Manager for Custer Hospitality, LLC.

    Reports to: COO and Owners

    This position will constantly look at design and technology to improve or create a competitive advantage to enhance Custer Hospitality, LLC.

    The Marketing Manager is responsible for planning and managing the overall marketing for a collection of six properties in Custer, SD. The Marketing Manager will work closely with the Chief Operations Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and General Managers to determine appropriate marketing strategies in all market segments toward maximizing the Camp Resort and hotel revenues. The Marketing Manager is responsible for public relations, creative design, social media, print and digital marketing programs, travel trade marketing, partner marketing, marketing plans and budgets.

    Job Description:

    Planning & Budgeting: Develops strategic marketing plans and annual marketing budgets.

    Brand Development: Design and implement marketing/sales collateral for the management company and individual properties.

    Develops all Resort marketing and promotional collateral according to brand standards

    Oversee all aspects of the creative design process from creation through execution for annual campaigns.

    Lead creative design for all online and traditional marketing initiatives including, but not limited to, website, online banners, print, and flyers.

    Partner with GMs and the Director of Operations for the Custer Hospitality brand to manage marketing efforts for CH expansion.

    Lead all initiatives for pictures/video across all channels and products, including managing vendors as well as hands-on work to edit multimedia as needed.

    Lead marketing-related areas including, but not limited to: guest communication, channel distribution, travel agent and corporate initiatives, specials, and packages

    Will manage the coordination, as well as contribute to, the development and management of the annual overall marketing budgets and marketing plans for chain and property.

    Learn individual brand standards to comply with approved marketing efforts

    Research competitors to stay current with similar products, services, and experiences in each respective market or in the industry

    Ensure all guest reviews are responded to in a professional manner that reflects the positive reputation of the company.

    Content & Asset Strategy: Manages the strategic direction and execution of marketing-specific assets and content, including but not limited to: Website Content, 3rd Party Site Content, Social Media Content, Digital & Traditional Advertising, Photography, and Videography.

    Social Media: Develops and executes a comprehensive social media strategy, including content development, ad campaigns, and influencer partnerships for seven accounts.

    Internal Partnerships: Works with and leverages internal corporate partners, including but not limited to brand marketing, regional leaders, and state marketing partners.

    External Partnerships: Identifies partnership/activation/sponsorship opportunities that align with Custer Hospitality’s positioning

    Attends strategic hotel meetings and ownership reviews (as needed)

    In coordination with Revenue Management, presents out on marketing activity and performance results utilizing supporting data and maintains a forward-looking analysis/plan and strategic direction

    Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the COO and or Owners.

    Qualifications:

    Degree in Business or marketing combination of education and experience.

    Minimum of 2 years of marketing experience; hospitality preferred.

    Proven knowledge of hospitality marketing including research, planning, market positioning, market segments, advertising and promotions, internal marketing, and distribution channels preferred.

    Proven expertise in managing social media campaigns, content curators, bloggers and photographers.

    Strong applications experience: (Adobe CS: Photoshop, illustrator, InDesign, Lightroom)

    Working knowledge of social media content planners, Webflow website management, Facebook Ads, GoogleAds, other digital marketing platforms.

    Ability to effectively navigate the enterprise and communicate with ownership group, leadership team, general managers and corporate leaders

    Must possess communications skills in terms of the ability to negotiate, sell and influence professionals and hotel guests

    knowledge of hospitality principles and practices.

    Documented experience in negotiating and closing business with short turn-around times required.

    Proven experience in leading marketing campaigns (initiate, implement, report).

    Excellent communication and presentation skills.

    Proven knowledge in using Microsoft programs

    Able to multitask, prioritize projects, meet deadlines, and assure high levels of quality and accuracy.
