We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Custodial and Maintenance Worker to help maintain the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of our facilities. This position combines custodial duties with light maintenance work to ensure the building environment remains in top condition for all occupants. Key Responsibilities:

Custodial Duties:

• Clean and sanitize classrooms, offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, strip, buff, and wax floors as needed.
• Empty trash and recycling containers; replace liners.
• Wash windows, walls, and other surfaces to maintain a clean appearance.
• Set up and break down rooms for meetings, classes, or events.
• Refill supplies such as soap, paper towels, and restroom paper products.

Maintenance Duties:

• Perform basic maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, tightening fixtures, and repairing minor leaks.
• Inspect and report maintenance issues including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC concerns.
• Assist with minor painting, touch-ups, and simple carpentry repairs.
• Support maintenance staff during larger repair projects or preventive maintenance activities.
• Operate basic hand and power tools safely and responsibly.

General Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Maintain inventory of custodial and maintenance supplies.
• Respond promptly to maintenance or cleaning requests from staff and building occupants.
• Work independently and as part of a team to meet facility standards.
