    Work Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday; hours determined based on business needs.

    POSITION SUMMARY

    Under general supervision, the Custodian ensures cleanliness and upkeep of company facilities, contributing to a safe, organized, and welcoming environment. This part-time position is responsible for housekeeping tasks, cleaning and sanitizing facilities, maintaining field project offices, and supporting company operations through safe and efficient custodial practices. The role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and occasional travel to satellite offices. Scheduled workdays for this position are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

    YOUR ROLE

    • Clean and sanitize restrooms using established practices and procedures.
    • Dust and wipe furniture, sweep, mop, or vacuum floors, and empty wastebaskets and trash containers.
    • Assist with setup and breakdown of facilities for meetings, conferences, and events.
    • Perform floor care, including stripping, cleaning, buffing, and applying sealers or finishes to hard floors, as well as vacuuming and shampooing carpets.
    • Wash walls, equipment, and accessible interior and exterior windows; clean blinds and launder cleaning rags and dust mops.
    • Remove debris from sidewalks and surrounding areas, water plants, pull weeds, and ensure outdoor cleanliness within proximity to facilities.
    • Move furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed for cleaning or event setup.
    • Lock and unlock buildings, secure facilities, check for unauthorized access, and ensure lights are turned off when buildings are not in use.
    • Follow established safety protocols for using chemicals and supplies.
    • Maintain and clean project field offices regularly.
    • Drive to satellite offices or project sites as required for cleaning and maintenance.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    WHAT YOU BRING

    • 1–3 years of custodial, janitorial, or facilities maintenance experience preferred.
    • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to satellite offices or project sites as needed.
    • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and correspondence.
    • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness in completing tasks.
    • Ability to follow detailed written and oral instructions and apply common sense understanding.
    • Demonstrates effective written and oral communication skills.
    • Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Ability to work the scheduled Monday, Wednesday, and Friday schedule, with occasional additional hours as approved by management.
    • Ability to collaborate and work effectively as part of a team.
    • Must follow all company safety policies, OSHA requirements, PPE guidelines, and safe chemical handling procedures.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    The Custodian frequently stands, walks, bends, kneels, crouches, climbs, and uses hands and arms to perform cleaning and maintenance duties. The position regularly requires lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling items up to 50 pounds. The role may require use of ladders, operation of cleaning equipment, and safe handling of cleaning chemicals. Visual acuity and attention to detail are required to inspect cleanliness and identify safety concerns. Work is performed primarily indoors with occasional outdoor work near office entrances, sidewalks, and project field offices. The position may involve exposure to cleaning chemicals, dust, varying temperatures, and moderate noise levels. Travel to satellite offices or project sites may be required.
