    Colby Community College (CCC) invites applications for a full-time Custodian to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, faculty, staff and visitors of Colby Community College. Our Custodians perform a variety of custodial and minor maintenance tasks across campus facilities, ensuring that classrooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas are clean, sanitary, and well-maintained.

    This is an evening shift position with the hours typically being 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM.

    The salary range for this position is between $16.75 to $17.75 per hour based on experience.

    The selected candidate will also be eligible to participate in the College's health, dental, and vision plan, as well as the State of Kansas KPERS retirement system. This position is eligible for relocation expenses in the amount of $2,000.

    Qualifications

    High School Diploma/GED is required.

    Experience performing custodial or janitorial duties, including cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining facilities is required.

    Essential Responsibilities

    Sweet, mop, vacuum, and scrub floors, hallways and stairways

    Clean and sanitize restrooms, classroom, offices and common areas

    Empty trash receptacles and recycle containers daily

    Dust furniture, windowsills, and other surfaces

    Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, and needed repairs

    Set up and tear down rooms for events, classes, and special functions

    Maintain custodial equipment and report malfunctions for repair or replacement

    Respond promptly and professionally to special cleaning requests or emergencies

    Assist with campus moves, deliveries, and other facility-related tasks as assigned
