About the Role:

1ABOVE QUALITY SERVICES LLC is looking for a dedicated and reliable Custodian to join our federal custodial services team in Norfolk, VA. Responsibilities:

Perform routine cleaning and custodial duties in federal facilities including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas

Sweep, mop, vacuum, and buff floors using commercial-grade cleaning equipment

Sanitize and disinfect restrooms, fixtures, and high-touch surfaces

Empty trash receptacles and transport waste to designated disposal areas

Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap, and toilet paper as needed

Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or facility concerns to supervisors

Follow all federal facility protocols, security procedures, and compliance standards

Requirements:

Prior custodial, janitorial, or building maintenance experience preferred

Ability to pass a federal background check and security clearance screening

Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, chemicals, and safety procedures

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 30–50 lbs for extended periods

Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented with a strong work ethic

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

High school diploma or GED preferred but not required
