Custodian

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 – $26.00 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (40–50 hours per week, overtime as needed)

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to maintain facility cleanliness and perform outdoor grounds upkeep. This role combines indoor janitorial responsibilities with outdoor maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general janitorial duties to maintain cleanliness and appearance of the facility
• Sweep, mop, vacuum floors, and clean surfaces, windows, and common areas
• Empty trash bins and maintain waste disposal areas
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, breakrooms, and office spaces
• Maintain outdoor areas, including yard and display spaces, ensuring they are free of debris, weeds, and pests
• Follow cleaning and maintenance schedules to ensure safety and organization
• Perform minor repairs such as changing light bulbs and basic upkeep tasks
• Operate cleaning and maintenance equipment (e.g., vacuums, buffers, mowers, blowers)
• Work professionally and courteously around customers and team members

Requirements

• Previous experience in custodial, general labor, or maintenance roles preferred
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks without close supervision
• Physically capable of performing tasks involving bending, kneeling, lifting, walking, and standing for extended periods
• Ability to operate cleaning and maintenance equipment safely
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Good communication skills
• English proficiency required
