    Looking for part-time worker for South Beloit Custodian

    **** Title: Custodian

    Position Type: Part-time (15-20 hours a week)

    Availability: Monday-Friday 5:00pm-8:30pm ** ** |** Occasional weekend hours may be required for facility rentals, special events, or additional cleaning needs.**

    Position Summary

    We are seeking a reliable, organized, and hardworking Janitorial Staff member to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout our facility. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, manage their time effectively, and complete cleaning tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

    Responsibilities

    • Clean and sanitize restrooms, common areas, offices, classrooms, and activity spaces.
    • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors.
    • Empty trash and recycling containers.
    • Replenish restroom and cleaning supplies as needed.
    • Clean windows, mirrors, and high-touch surfaces.
    • Set up and clean up areas for programs, meetings, and special events.
    • Report maintenance concerns or safety hazards to supervisors.
    • Ensure facility cleanliness meets organizational standards.
    • Perform additional cleaning duties as assigned.

    Additional Schedule Expectations

    While the regular schedule is Monday through Friday from 5:00 PM to 8:30 PM , employees may occasionally be required to work weekends when the facility is rented for private events or when additional cleaning services are needed, such as restroom cleaning or preparing/cleaning event spaces.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Previous janitorial, custodial, or housekeeping experience preferred but not required.
    • Experience working in schools, community centers, or recreational facilities is a plus.
