    Job Description

    As CPL continues to grow we are looking for self-motivated individuals who can assist the Customer Loyalty team with day-to-day administrative duties and operations related to the business and service we provide. The Customer Loyalty team serves to promote the services provided by CPL to its customers and carriers, negotiate rates with carriers and existing or new clients.  The primary role is to manage the transportation arrangements, and other job duties relating to servicing and advising our customer base. After a year with the Company and as the individual develops a greater understanding of CPL processes and industry knowledge they will move into an inside sales role.

    TASKS WILL INCLUDE:

    • Answering and making Inbound and Outbound calls           
    • Negotiating rates with carriers and vendors
    • Provide customer service and call routing within the Company
    • Claims prevention and dispatching
    • Help claims in the collection of carrier docs 
    • Investigates and help mitigate claims on behalf of CPL
    • Organization and collection of carrier files and contracts 
    • Building loads and data entry
    • Contract administrator
    • Help maintain the profitability of the business with preventive measures and maintaining proper margins
    • Prepare and enter into contracts with carriers on load by load basis
    • Document management. Rate confirmations, carrier packets, customer load tenders
    • Trace and Track of over the road shipments
    • Provide continual feedback and advice to management on day to day operation 
    • The first chain of command in resolving carrier and customer grievances and complaints
    • Posting loads and formulating potential rate quotes
    • Prospecting for new business via email and phone calls
    • Customer service to existing clientele as part of the customer loyalty team during and after office hours.
    • Update check calls in the transportation management system
    • Updating co-workers and other customer loyalty team members on all shipment statuses

    PREFERRED SKILLS: 

    • Strong communication skills, ability to multitask, work well as a team, Interpersonal skills, Negotiation skills, Attention to detail, Ambitious and enthusiastic attitude

    DESIRED WORK EXPERIENCE:

    • Transportation/Logistics industry experience
    • TMS experience

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 

    • Moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phones and printers, light foot traffic).
    • Ability to work in an open shared area
    • Ability to sit/stand for an extended period of time.
