Custom Pro Logistics is seeking a task-oriented and organized individual to fill the role of Logistics Billing Specialist for a growing Inc5000 organization. CPL is a Fast 55 winner in Cincinnati. Joining the Accounting division in Over-the-Rhine, OH, this motivated candidate will be responsible for performing various duties including AR, Collection, and billing while assisting with general back-office functions.
ACCOUNTS PAYABLE
Locating and retrieving required paperwork via email and phone calls
Proper filing and processing of all documents
Issuing Quickpays and auditing carrier payables with accuracy
ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE
Process, prepare, send customer invoices daily (Includes EDI & emailed invoices)
Send past-due statements on the first week of the month; Make collection calls regarding past-due invoices
Prepare, post, verify and record customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.
Maintain and update customer records, including name or address changes, mergers, or mailing attentions.
Determine key performance metrics and set performance targets for back-office support including DSO, DPO, working capital requirements, and cash flow projections
Serve as the initial AR contact person for external and internal customers regarding Business to Business AR collections, problems, and questions
Audit and oversee AR credit limit to ensure the customer portal has accurate information at all time
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in financial accounting and general accounting
