The Customer Service Representative (CSR) is the client’s first contact when calling or visiting the practice and, as such, represents the professional image of the practice to callers and visitors. The CSR answers telephones, greets clients, prepares patient files and escorts clients and patients to exam rooms, receives and relays client correspondence, and updates client financial records. The exceptional receptionist has the ability to diffuse negative client situations and foster client bonding. Responsibilities: • Maintains a positive/friendly attitude even when performing multiple tasks • Answers the phone and greets the client with a friendly demeanor • Provides support to the rest of the team • Collects payments and maintains medical records • Performs outbound calls to schedule appointments • Maintains a clean and welcoming reception area • Listens, understands, and can carry out oral and written instructions • Other duties as assigned Qualifications: • Quickly learn the meaning and how to pronounce commonly used veterinary terminology • Can easily use a variety of software and programs, and type • Can lift up to 25lbs • Can sit for long periods of time • Can work on several projects at once and maintain a good attitude Compensation: $11 - $15 hourly
